client find: modern counter stools

A client that I have been working with needed counter stools for a free standing kitchen island that I recently found and that she had purchased.  There were counter height chairs that she could have bought to go with the island but they looked to matchy-matchy and were a bit on the pricey side.  So, after searching the internet for some inspiration I came across these counter stools and suggested them to her.

I originally saw them here on a post by Megan from the blog Honey We're Home.  They looked nice in her space and I thought they would be perfect for my client.

My client ordered two of them and they finally came in.  I am happy to report that she likes them.  They are simple and modern.  And not only do they look nice but Amazon.com was selling them for such a great price- $120 for a pair.  Can't beat that!  So, if you are in the market for a pair of nice, modern looking, and inexpensive counter stools check them out here

finding lovely friday: candle sleeves

This is what I picked up the other day. It's a candle sleeve from Bath & Body Works. Such a great concept! They call this design the Silver Mum. The sleeve slips right around the glass container that carefully houses the candle and disguises it. Basically you put the glass container right into the sleeve. Not only is the sleeve pretty, it's functional & reusable as well. And even better it was inexpensive- $5.00! How can you beat that?!

Oh, but wait! It comes in a smaller metal sleeve size too for "get this"- $3.50. Even better!

I ended up bringing home this design as well. They call this design Silver Tile. I love the modern geometric shape. It dresses the Bath & Body Works 14.5oz. Slatkin & Co. candle nicely. I bought one in the small size too because I loved the shape. Now I just have to grab some Slatkin & Co. 4oz candles next time I'm in the store.

Have you seen these already? I only recently came across them after looking something up on the Bath & Body Works website. Check out all the other metal sleeve options here. They even have cute seasonal ones like this one.
Just remember you don't always have to shop in the most obvious places for home decor accessories. Who would have thought, Bath & Body Works?! I would pick some up now before everyone else discovers these. Or, maybe I am the last to know about it. I guess better late then never. Have a great weekend!

ZGallerie new fall style

ZGallerie

I am totally loving ZGallerie's new fall style collection. We don't have a ZGallerie store anywhere near us. I wish we did! The closest store is located at Tyson's Corner Center in McLean, Virginia. That is still over 200+ miles away. Almost 8 hours roundtrip. Hello, ZGallerie! Will you consider opening up a location in the tri-state area? Maybe in New York City at least? I guess this is a bit of wishful thinking on my part but a girl can dream.

Here are just a few things that caught my eye as I perused the ZGallerie website. So many pretty things.

Forza Mirror

Have you already checked out the new fall collection at a ZGallerie store near you, or are you like me and checking everything out online? Let me know what your fall favorites are. I would love to know.

black & white stripes

Today I am loving black & white stripes. Somehow or another I will find a way to incorporate it into my home. The look is so simple and clean, yet modern and crisp at the same time. Here are a few items I found that I wouldn't mind having around the house.

Olin Rug

So, what is your opinion on black & white stripes? Do you love it, or hate it? I am now off to convince the hubby that we need black & white stripes somewhere in our home. Wish me luck!

finding lovely friday: a cute anthropologie dish

I found this cute little dish at Anthropologie while out shopping with a client. The best part...it was on sale for $7.99. Not bad for Anthropologie! It's a great little dish to keep your small jewelry in like rings or earrings especially when you have to take them on and off all day. It came in a few different colors. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos when we were in the store. When I got home I checked the Anthropologie website but they were no longer showing up.

After convincing my client {who is actually one of my oldest & dearest friend} that she needed this pretty little dish she ended up bringing one home. This is how she displayed it on her bathroom counter.

Pretty, right?! When she sent me this photo she also asked if I was planning on going back to Anthropologie any time soon. If I did, to pick up 2 more for her. She liked it! Hope they still have some left. Now my only regret...I didn't buy one for myself.

Have you found any cute little objects lately that are not only pretty but functional? I love when that happens. Enjoy your weekend!
